# Definitions

2. In this Charter, unless it is otherwise provided or the context otherwise requires —

**2.1** <mark style="color:yellow;">**“**</mark>*<mark style="color:yellow;">**Active**</mark>*<mark style="color:yellow;">**&#x20;**</mark><mark style="color:yellow;">**electoral quorum”**</mark> means the total voting strength of all **actively contributing** Team Members and Officers eligible to vote under Section 23. An active vote-eligible Team Member and Officer is defined by their:

**2.1.1** consistent participation in projects or team initiatives within the past two months from the review date. The exceptions are cases of extenuating circumstances, such as:

**2.1.1.1** Serious illness, injury or death of the Personnel or their immediate family, next-of-kin or trusted persons;

**2.1.1.2** Mental health crisis;

**2.1.1.3** Sudden loss of housing or urgent relocation needs;

**2.1.1.4** Unexpected legal matters requiring significant attention;

**2.1.1.5** Other unforeseen circumstances deemed appropriate by Officers.

**2.1.2** regular attendance at GFTV meetings;

**2.1.3** active engagement in GFTV's personnel communication channels and the CIO Initiatives and Spaces.

**2.2&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Bully”**</mark> means singular (ragging) or repeated acts (bullying) by one or more individuals that hurt or threaten others, be it for sexual or social reasons, through verbal, physical, social or cyber means, including but not limited to name-calling, insults, trolling, violence, discrimination, exclusion, shaming, harassment and threats, that —

**2.2.1** causes physical or emotional harm to such person(s), worsening mental health;

**2.2.2** places such person(s) in reasonable fear of harm to themselves;

**2.2.3** creates a hostile environment for such person(s);

**2.2.4** substantially disrupts peace wherever the bullying takes place;

**2.2.5** the examples of which include but are not limited to the following:

**2.2.5.1** Call someone names or make fun of them;

**2.2.5.2** Threaten, intimidate or blackmail someone;

**2.2.5.3** Provoke someone with hostile language, also called flaming;

**2.2.5.4** Use force against someone, causing injury, fear or annoyance;

**2.2.5.5** Destroy or tamper with personal property;

**2.2.5.6** Ostracise someone from a group or activity;

**2.2.5.7** Spread or publish regarding someone —

**2.2.5.7.1** Rumours or untruths to damage their reputation by means such as but not limited to online shaming (defamation);

**2.2.5.7.2** compromising or embarrassing information, unless it is already in the public domain or easily accessible, such as their name, residential address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, national registration identity card number, passport number, signature (whether handwritten or electronic), passwords, employment, education, family details, or personal photos or videos (doxxing).

**2.3&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“CCS Member”**</mark> means an individual part of the Core Content Support Team who does not possess full-time membership of GFTV but contributes to GFTV’s content and initiatives in various roles and areas and receives feedback and assistance from GFTV’s Team Members and Officers;

**2.4&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Court of law”**</mark> means the judicial institutions of the Republic of Singapore or whichever country or region related to the persons in dispute;

**2.5&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Furries”**</mark> means participants in the furry fandom;

**2.6&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Furry fandom”**</mark> means a community interested in anthropomorphic characters and art;

**2.7&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Good standing”**</mark> refers to, overall, the Personnel’s good commitment to GFTV's values, positive contribution to the Organization, and full compliance with the Charter and the Standards;

**2.8&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Law”**</mark> means the laws of the Republic of Singapore by default, or in such respect, the laws of foreign countries implied in Section **18.3**;

**2.9&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Letter of Acceptance”**</mark> or <mark style="color:yellow;">**“LOA”**</mark> means a letter confirming the acceptance of an applicant or CCS member as a personnel and full team member respectively;

**2.10&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Meeting”**</mark> means general meetings and extraordinary general meetings;

**2.11&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Officer”**</mark> means an individual who holds a position of authority in GFTV and is part of the Policy, Action and Leadership Division, which is listed in Section **17**;

**2.12&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Personnel”**</mark> refers to Team Members, Officers and CCS Members as a whole;

**2.13&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Policy books”**</mark> refer to GFTV’s set of rules and guidelines, which includes this Charter and the Standards;

**2.14&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Standards”**</mark> mean a set of specialised rules and guidelines that govern the conduct, ethics, and expectations of GFTV’s administration and content production, such as the Community Rules (CR), News Standards and Programme Rating System (PRS), each used by their divisions;

**2.15&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Team ID”**</mark> means a physical identification card usually worn with a lanyard that shows the fursona name, preferred photo, fursona species and customised digital name card of a Team Member or Officer of GFTV;

**2.16&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**“Team Member”**</mark> means a full-time member of GFTV who has completed their membership in the CCS Team and has been accepted into one of the four functional divisions of GFTV: CIO, CCS, MAWS, or PAL;
